Given the opportunity parents would do anything to help their child succeed in their school career, and now’s their chance. The Parent institute for Quality Education (PIQE) is a program that gives their students the opportunity to be accepted into any California State University (CSU). PIQE consists of an eight week program in the spring that has parents meet every Wednesday for two hours every session. When parents have completed the program they receive a certificate showing that on the terms that their child meets A-G requirements and continues to uphold the required grade point average, and meet the college SAT requirements, then their student will be conditionally accepted to any CSU.
Information about the PIQE program will be given in the spring through Roosevelt’s morning announcements. Students will also receive mail-home information and a Teleparent about this opportunity. This program gives parents important tools to parents and is an opportunity that should not be passed up.
